It’s been a tale of contrasting fortunes for the House of Plantagenet and the House of Windsor in recent days.

Practically a State occasion and if not quite, it certainly felt like one, the reinterment of Richard III’s mortal remains commanded the attendance of members of the present-day Royal household, a new setting of the National Anthem by the Master of the Queen’s Music, a fine poem in his honour by the Poet Laureate read by his Oscar-nominated relative Benedict Cumberbatch, not to mention various Yorkists, Lancastrians and a Gilbert and Sullivan-like cast of titled servants including the Constable of the Tower and Yeoman Warders. 502 more words

Target Canada ratcheting up its exit, all stores to close by mid-April

Target Corp. is planning to close all of its Canadian stores even faster than originally planned.
