An Intro... to My "Exit" from Christianity

I’m not sure I want to be a Christian any more……

For a while, this sentence was part of my daily vocabulary.  Don’t get me wrong – I’ve always loved and felt God, and I have great reverence for Jesus and all he did, but with my experiences with the church, what I learned in seminary, and folks like Westboro Baptist, the Ku Klux Klan, and Hitler claiming the same label, appealing to the same God… I wasn’t really feeling “organized” religion like that. 492 more words
