As I work my way through Church History at college, it’s forced me to think hard about personal holiness. For instance, at the church of John Calvin, the great Reformer, congregation members could be disciplined for issues such as family quarrels, sexual immorality, cursing, disrespect of church leaders, absence from church, gambling, or singing obscene songs just to name a few. 489 more words
