"Clare" or "Dr Xanthos" is fine ... Just don't call me "Ms"!

Anyone who has a PhD, or is working towards one, should be able to relate to the issue of how to address fellow academics. While my PhD is relevant to the work that I do as an academic editor, I have encouraged clients to address me as “Clare,” because I consider that using first names makes everyone feel more comfortable. 459 more words
