Marcel sent me this card from his hometown in Germany. He tells me that Neuss is one of the oldest cities in Germany. Wikipedia tells me that it is more than 2000 years, having been first settled by the ancient Romans in the year 16BC. 6 more words
This castle is Olavinlinna in Finland. It is built on an island in Savonlinna and is the northernmost medieval stone fortress still standing today. Building was supposedly commenced in 1475. Thanks Mervi.
