The romance of flowers

Roses, berries, leaves, trailing things – my most favourite bouquet of flowers – a bit wild, very romantic and quite “messy”…..  perfect in my eyes! This bouquet was beautifully crafted just for me…how lucky I was! 29 more words

We set off eager as teenagers, in the half twilight, and are quickly engulfed by crowds doing the same thing. They are equipped with chairs, rugs, picnic hampers and much more prepared for the long wait until darkness than us. 389 more words

Obscure connections

Finding a plaque on the shore, while we peered at a cold-steel-grey, unwelcoming ocean. Agreeing, ‘it’s just a tad too cold to swim.’ Informing us that the two Australian kayakers James Castrisson and Justin Jones made landfall just near that spot, after they paddled from Forster on the mid-north New South Wales coast. 675 more words
