I’m flabbergasted to hear teachers say smugly how they confiscate cellphones at the beginning of a class. While the outdated policy at my university is that students are not allowed to use electronic devices in the classroom, teachers tend to either ignore the constant texting or, in desperation, ask students to deposit devices on a desk in the front of the room. 696 more words
