Unpopular Opinion: We're Doing ANZAC Day Wrong

Or at least, we are this year, in the way we are celebrating it, and in the way we are talking about it.

Let me preface this all by saying that in theory, ANZAC Day is a great, wonderful thing, albeit it’s regrettable that we have to commemorate it at all, since it’s essentially about the deaths of 2,779 New Zealanders, among many others. 1,648 more words


Many were lost, lest we forget. 100 years on, we have not forgotten. May we find other paths now, to avoid repeating history. Thank you, I honour you, I will not forget.

THE CHURCH WITH A HEART-The Little Church Around the Corner

Every year on 25th April both New Zealand and Australia have a memorial day called ANZAC Day.  ANZAC day is the equivalent of the US Memorial Day or the UK Remembrance Day.     227 more words
