After my highly enjoyable stay in Carcassonne, I took a train to Arles, which isn’t too far from Nîmes and sits on the River Rhône. It is most popular (among tourists, anyway) for its van Gogh museum, which I imagine exists there because of the time that van Gogh himself spent there, between 1888-89. 676 more words
