April 16th is Celebrate Teen Literature Day, which makes me think of Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, Matched, Divergent…I think I’ll stop now.  It’s the birth anniversary of actor Sir Peter Ustinov, whom I remember in “Quo Vadis”, “Blackbeard’s Ghost”, “Logan’s Run”, “Jesus of Nazareth”, “The Last Remake of Beau Geste”, and a series of movies based on Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot novels, in which he played that detective.   101 more words

Henry Mancini was born on April 16, 1924. Perhaps best known composing The Pink Panther, he won 20 Grammy Awards and four Oscars, including this one – Moon River. He died on June 14, 1994.
