I didn’t really start this drawing with anything specific in mind, I kind of made it up as I went along. He looks like Conan the barbarian, so I guess he is Conan the barbarian.


On the drawingtable

Started working on the Batavia, a ship of the Dutch East India Company (VOC). It was build in Amsterdam in 1628 and armed with 24 cast-iron cannons, and a number of bronze guns


Project 2. Exercise 3. Creating shadow using lines and marks.

This exercise was a mega challenge for me.  I have never really used cross hatching or spots to create shading and I have to say, I was HOPELESS at it when I first started this exercise.   708 more words
