Finally finished! I decided to use a matte steel grey for the background to complement the purples of the iris without distracting from it. I also decided to try using a hook and eye closure as the back fastening instead of my usual ribbon or jewellery clasp. 75 more words

Bead Embroidery

Another Shibori silk bracelet.  This one has a large, triangular Swarovski crystal as a focal point, floating in a sea of rippling silk.  Accented with pearls and finished with fire polished beads.   8 more words


Project in progress

What is she beading now?

I wanted to work with Blue. Don’t know why, it is not what I consider one of my favorite colors. I like “Spirit Dolls” & “Fairies” so, I have combined the two. This should be interesting.


Is gorgeous, if I do say so myself.

I’ve wanted to make another beaded face brooch for ages.  It just took a while to match the face with the cabochon.  126 more words


Sooke Show Shibori

Another Shibori Silk bracelet.  I just love the combination of soft greens and copper.  This one is being entered into the Sooke Fine Art Show in June 2015.
