Traffic Settings

In your website’s Traffic Settings, you can configure options related to the visits your site receives. This guide will explain each setting.

Access Your Traffic Settings

To visit the Traffic Settings:

  1. Visit your site’s dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Tools → Marketing (or Jetpack → Settings if using WP-Admin.)
  3. At the top of the screen, click on the Traffic tab.

Each setting found here is explained below.

Search Engine Optimization

This section of the guide applies to sites with the WordPress.com Creator or Entrepreneur plan. If your site has one of our legacy plans, this feature is available on the Pro plan.

Cloudflare

This section of the guide applies to sites with our WordPress.com Explorer, Creator and Entrepreneur plans. If your site has one of our legacy plans, this feature is available on the Pro plan.

Cloudflare Analytics is a tool that offers ways to view and filter details about the traffic coming to your website.

Google Analytics

This section of the guide applies to sites with our WordPress.com Explorer, Creator and Entrepreneur plans. If your site has one of our legacy plans, this feature is available on the Pro plan.

Google Analytics is a free service that complements our built-in stats with different insights into your traffic.

Sitemaps

Sitemaps are specially formatted pages that let search engines know what pages exist on your site and where to locate them. After you’ve verified your site on Google, Bing, or Yandex, you can submit your sitemap to those services so that search engines can easily find all the pages on your site.

Site Verification Services

Verify your website with search engines and other services to unlock extra insights and features for your website. Google, Bing, Pinterest, Yandex, and Facebook will provide you with a small piece of code, which you can add to your website here in the Traffic Settings.
