Domain Pricing and Available TLDs

This page lists the domain extensions (also known as top-level domains or TLDs) available on WordPress.com and their prices. Search for your domain here!

Standard Domain Registration and Renewal Pricing

The current price for one year of domain registration for standard-priced domains is listed below. When you purchase any annual or multi-year WordPress.com plan, the first year of the domain registration is free!

If a domain extension you wish to register is not listed below, it doesn’t mean you cannot use it with a WordPress.com website. While the domain cannot be registered or transferred, you can register it with another provider and connect your domain instead.

Prices are the same for domain registrations and renewals. The supported domain extensions (TLDs) are:

Free Domain for One Year

With the purchase of an annual, two-year, or three-year plan, you may register a new domain for free for one year. If you already own the domain you wish to use, you can transfer your domain and we’ll add one additional year of domain registration to it.

After the free year, your domain renews at the price listed above, independent of the plan. You can manage your billing information (as well as automatic renewal settings) in your purchases.

The free domain offer cannot be used to renew an existing domain name that is already registered on WordPress.com.

Domain Redemption Cost

Expired domains that are renewed within the redemption grace period will be renewed at the standard renewal price plus an $80 non-refundable redemption fee. Learn more about domain expirations

Domain Registration Privacy Protection

Privacy protection is optional and free to add for all domains registered at WordPress.com when available. Most domains allow privacy protection, but some extensions (for example .br, .id, .in, .jp, and .mx) do not support private registration.

Premium Domains

Some domains are sold for a higher price than a standard domain because they are short and especially memorable. We offer premium domains with these extensions.

Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs)

Your domain name is an Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) if it contains language-specific characters such as ä, û, ע, ж, 字, मा. Domain registration, transfers-in, and connecting for IDNs, also known as Internationalized Domain Names, are not currently supported.
