Born 1947, so I'm a wrinkly! No, you're as young as you feel and I feel fine. I spent my whole working life as an electronics tech at a major city commercial TV station - 33 years. In 1999 I took a voluntary redundancy aged 52 and effectively retired. I've worked part-time since then in TV engineering, computers, simple training and teaching, but otherwise I've just devoted myself to my own interests, which are: *photography in all its forms *imaging, scanning, printing *travelling *making CDs, DVDs, slide shows, books and video *my dogs (sadly, both have gone to the Great Kennel in the Sky) Being retired is GREAT! No job pressures, no bullying, no need to be anywhere, no need to obey anyone - I recommend it. I live in Perth, Western Australia, which must have the world's best climate. I'm only 1Km from a rugged coast and I live directly opposite beautiful parks and fountains. And only 100m from a pub. It's a pity I don't drink much any more! We're only 3hrs 45mins from Bali as well, which has to be the world's nicest holiday island. I live in my own house on a small block in a high density area around a small shopping street. I can walk to buy the paper and groceries and post a letter. This is exactly the way I like it and the house suits me perfectly. It's the best house I've ever lived in, by far. I've been "dogged" by some health problems in the last few years, but not enough to kill me so I bounce back. I have so much to do that I only hope I have enough time left to do all I have planned. I've recently realised that I've never even watched most of the many hours of hi-def video I shot on a trip to Europe and Britain in 2008. I'm looking forward to finally editing it down to some more DVDs. Of course, it's an utter waste - no-one will watch my stuff, but it's self-satisfaction, so too bad.
