Bio
Travel has been a large part of my life. It is how I learn about life, adapt to the culture, and feel fulfilled. It is a never-ending journey of discovery. It began when I was little, moving house every 2-3 years, changing schools. I was born into a military family and this was my ‘normal’. As a result, I do not ‘come’ from anywhere in particular nor do I belong anywhere, making home wherever I am. Since getting married and starting a family, travel has been less of a care-free ride and more of a significant part of life’s learning, together. I truly believe that we expand our minds and ourselves when we travel, away from home comforts and security, open to adventure.
And so it is time to delve into those memories and remind myself of all the wonders that await, just out of sight, in places I have not yet been and experiences I have yet to enjoy, and to share all of this with you. None of us stands still, but neither do we travel in the same way, even if it is to the same place. Our experiences differ and that is what makes us unique as individuals. In this website I hope to expand on my own thoughts and feelings, the wondrous sights and smells, the food and wine, the people and new friendships along the way, and the pure joy of travel.
I hope you will join me in spirit and if I can inspire you to pack up and go somewhere new, even just for a day, then I have achieved my goal.
