Zero to Hero: Day Twelve
-
NOTE: Zero to Hero forum threads will close after five days. If you’re just starting out, welcome! Feel free to visit a more recent thread to say hello, ask questions, or seek feedback. Happy blogging!
Day Twelve! Time to put your publishing hat back on.
Today, you’ll be inspired by one of the blogs you read and commented on yesterday, and publishing your own post. Check out the full details on the Zero to Hero main page.
Use this space as a place to ask questions and seek feedback from fellow bloggers, or just to talk about blogging, why you’re here, and how your month is going.
Please refrain from posting links to your blog unless you’re seeking feedback — this is a place for discussion. Irrelevant comments and spammy links will be deleted. Instead, give your posts the “zerotohero” tag to enable other participants to find you.
The Daily Post has a weekly open thread on Sundays called “Community Pool,” for peer feedback. If you’re looking for general feedback on your blog or feedback unrelated to this challenge, please visit that thread.

Does it have to be from the comments that we posted yesterday or anything that we saw recently. Found an amzing one today, cant wait to start this!!
-
@themadmuslimah, ideally, you’d build on a conversation you began yesterday, but if you’ve found something today that moves you, go for it!

This is great prompt, I can’t wait to write it! I had a conversation yesterday that will be perfect for this post. I’ve been keeping up every day so far, but as much as I hate to do it, I am going to have to start doing these the day after. Busy time of year at work just hit, and we’re having to plan content a couple of days ahead to keep our posting on track. I do have a little time to browse other peoples’ entries here and there during the day. I’ve enjoyed this challenge immensely so far, and it has been very good for making friends.

That’s so funny… what a great prompt. I even said in one of the comments I left yesterday, “I think you just inspired a post.”

For the past several assignments I realized I had already done them on my blog — today’s assignment with my “Hot Blended” post.
I am eager to figure out how to configure a widget that lists all of my social media connects . . . right now I do that through an about.me widget but I’d prefer just to have the little badges. Hope we’ll be addressing this soon. I upgraded my theme so I could customize my colors and fonts and I love love love!

@birgerbird, check out this post on image widgets, particularly the last section — http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/03/20/widgets-201/.

Hi Michelle
I have a morality question. I need your advice. Yesterday I had written to strangers as per zero-to-hero day-11 instructions and I ended up writing some thoughts about some of my experience on this forum.
Now day-12 is asking me to write a post and also to provide a link of the site where I wrote my thoughts for day-11.
If I go ahead then would I be escalating the issue or not. I plan to do the post with pictures.
I need your input.
Thanks and regards.

Ha! Now I know why you told me to hang onto that thought, but I did as expected and expanded on my comment. The result was one very personal, and I have to say emotional post.
-
@greetingsfromindia, please feel free to post whatever you’d like on your blog. It’s not okay to use these forum threads as place to hash out issues you may have with other bloggers, but your site is your own.

I’m playing catch-up at the moment. Trying to get the comments done. Hoping to find a blog that really sets off an idea of my own.

Hello Everybody,
For day 11, I commented on strangers and on day 12 I got visitor from the site I commented, as is obvious from the the picture I took from my “stats”. Kindly take a look.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
I just finished today’s post about the comment I left yesterday. I didn’t know it would bring so many painful experiences back to my mind.
Read my post here and please tell me what you think.
This was a good exercise Michelle. I am glad to see that I am learning so much from this challenge. I am also getting a lot more traffic on my blog, a very nice thing indeed.

@michelleweber will somebody please help . . . widgets are the bane of my existence . . . I cannot for the life of me configure an image widget. I now have 2 widgets that are improperly configured. I copied and pasted the code from a website offering the badge. I created a text and an image because I wasn’t sure which one would work . . . neither does.
