Yoast SEO / Revive Old Post Plugins Approval
-
Hi,
I recently began a premium account because I was hoping to be able to install plugins to expand traffic, which would potentially lead to a business account if traffic expanded. However, I can’t install any and am very discouraged. These two plugins (Yoast SEO / Revive Old Post Plugin) are apparently phenomenal according to those that I know who use them (they don’t have WordPress.com hosting so they are able to install them). Please help so others and myself can continue to use WordPress.com as a host. I really don’t want to transfer everything over to another host as I have had this site for almost three years.
Thank You!

I agree with mrzamboni. Surely as Premium holders, one should be allowed SEO. You need to offer a plan that benefits users from the wordpress.com support, but also allow users to buy external plugins…or you could at the very least offer a SEO with the Premium plan. Thanks.

Are you kidding me? There is no way that the yoast plugin which I have used of self hosted sites, provides the SEO you get from being hosted by wordpress.COM which has a page rank of 9/10.
Click this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/yoast-seo-plugin so you know how unlikely it is that that plugin will be introduced here.
or you could at the very least offer a SEO with the Premium plan.

Thanks Timethief. That clarifies things a bit. I’m new to blogging, so went with wordpress.com, as it includes support etc.
I bought the Premium Plan because it stated that it included Jetpack Essentials, “Jetpack is a powerful plugin that includes SEO, spam protection, social sharing, site stats, and more”…unfortunately it appears not to be included after all. Is that your experience as well? Is Jetpack better than Yoast?
thx. -
In order to provide wordpress.ORG users with parity with wordpress.COM blogs where all plugins are built in, the Jetpack plugin was developed.
I don’t use the Yoast plugin or any SEO plugins. I tried them and trashed them and learned how to do my own SEO.
