Xanga Import

Add topic to favorites
I have more than 3 Xanga XML files, but only 1 has been successful importing. I did each one manually and even received confirmation email that the import finished, but I do not see the posts at all. Any help/insight on this issue? Thank in advance!

Hi there!

It could be a browser compatibility issue. Are you using the latest version of IE, Firefox or Chrome?

Note: the importer does not work with Internet Explorer 9.0 or previous versions. Please update your browser or try a different browser (Firefox or Chrome) if you are having difficulty importing your content

Yes, Chrome and Firefox are both the latest versions. Both have same issue — WordPress sends confirmation of upload, but the number of posts remain unchanged. Any other possible ideas? I’m wondering if it could possibly be an issue with the XML file.

You can always try to re-import the files.

In the meantime, I’ve added the modlook tag to this thread so staff/moderators can help with your issue.

Hi there, looking at the other threads that have been tagged Xanga it seems that the general advice has been to try the WordPress importer as well.

@synorae Just noting that tagging threads and performing a tag search for previous threads on the same topic can also help.
