www prefix

    I have noticed that some wordpress blogs have a www. prefix in the url. How can I make sure that when I set up a new blog it has the www. prefix added to it. I thought I could do this by domain mapping, but the www. did not show up with my domain name.

    I’ve also noticed that previous deleted posts show up in google, for example http://yogaclara.wordpress.com/why-yoga/

    Will this always be the case?

    Last question: Is it possible to delete a blog and have no traces left in google?
