Would like to make grey scrollable area start higher up

  • I am using theme “Affinity”

I would like the grey scrollable section that starts off-screen to start a little higher, so I can see the title and the first few lines in the default loading state.

I’d like this to always be relative to screen height

I feel I need a piece of CSS to do this but I don’t really know CSS… Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi,
I have seen your blog, you have given 60% padding to the “custom-header-image” class of div tag, thats why it seem lower.
Reduce the padding in it insted of 60% to 40%. I have seen using inspect element 40% or 50% is enough.

    Thanks,

    Hi there,

I have tried every setting from 0-50% and none of them have had the required effect > <

  • @liamnekologic, my suggestion would be to edit your header image in your image editing program and crop it more tightly top and bottom, upload that image to your media library and use that one as your header image. Affinity will adjust the header height to whatever image you insert.

I have tried the cropping approach too but no matter how much or how I crop it, the end result is the same

  • It appears you have switched to the Eighties theme. Let us know if you have further questions.
