Add topic to favorites
Hi,

I was just curious if it was possible to get my self-hosted WordPress.org site to show up under the WordPress.com tags?

I use a plug-in that allows my posts to still show up in the WordPress.com reader so that my WordPress followers still get my blog posts. But I would love for my blog to be search-able in the tags so that I can reach new people.

Is there a way to do this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Any WordPress.com member can subscribe to offsite blogs in their Reader by simply entering the URL, but I do believe that the WordPress.com tags/category pages are limited only to sites hosted on WordPress.com.

this shouldn’t be hard just do a search on the topic, the tags should be transfered is some fashion, or copied and pasted in some way

To the best of my knowledge, self-hosted WordPress sites do not have access to the WordPress.com tags/categories pages. That feature is exclusive to sites hosted on WordPress.com.

Correct. No self-hosted WordPress.ORG blog is a member of the free hosted WordPres.COM blogging community. All WordPress.ORG installs are free standing islands that are not connected to any blogging community. As those WordPress.ORG blogs, Tumblr, Blogger, etc. blogs are NOT members of the WordPress.COM blogging community the posts published on them do not automatically appear on the WordPress.COM Topcis (Tags and Categories) pages.

Staff have given their official answer: in order to enjoy the benefits of the WordPress.com community tag pages, you have to be a part of the WordPress.com community, ie hosted here.
