WordPress Noob using Illustratr Theme – Thumbnails not Working on Facebook

    Dear all,

    I’m very new to WordPress and I was wondering if you could help me find out why, when I post a link to my portfolio in Facebook/linkedin I don’t get a thumbnail appear?

    I am using the Illustratr theme and I have made the portfolio layout the main front page, and I have mapped my own domain name to the account.

    When I run Facebook Debugger it tells me the following:

    Extraneous Property:

    Objects of this type do not allow properties named ‘article:publisher’.

    Parser Mismatched Metadata :

    The parser’s result for this metadata did not match the input metadata. Likely, this was caused by the data being ordered in an unexpected way, multiple values being given for a property only expecting a single value, or property values for a given property being mismatched. Here are the input properties that were not seen in the parsed result: ‘article:publisher’

    Frankly, it’s Greek to me and I have no idea what to do. Though, If I actually delve in to one of the sections it all works just fine…

    Well, I worked around this issue by adding a cover picture to the ‘Project’ title of my front page. Weirdly, Facebook debugger still says there are issues, but it sees the cover picture.

    Still no idea why it couldn’t do the same with the other pictures on the site though…
