WordPress Community Forum?

Is there a community blog for discussion and, dare I say it, promotion of our blogs?
My blog, Barataria, has been nominated for a 2015 Bloggie in the category “Best Blog About Politics” and I’d like to have support from the wordpress community. I’d also frankly like to learn of other blogs on wordpress.com that I can vote for and promote alongside mine.
Is there an appropriate place to do this? Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no such blog promotion forum here in the support forums. When there was one, many bloggers abused it by spamming and it became such a mess that it was taken away.
These are the WordPress.COM technical support forums. Here we post only technical questions about WordPress.COM software issues and answers to them. Anything else posted here is considered to be spam and treated accordingly.
We cannot post blog promotion threads (that’s what social networks are for) and discussion threads. However, please note the sticky post at the head of these forums titled Getting started in the forums: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/forums-faq-getting-started-in-the-forums?replies=2#post-2170304
Are you looking for feedback on your blog? This could range from the design of the site to the actual content of a post. You can get feedback from our Community Pool:

So that’s what happened to it – I was surprised I couldn’t find it. Oh, well, spammers ruin everything.
Good thing we have akismit on our blogs. :-) TThanks!

The spammers were WordPress.COM bloggers promoting their blogs who went nuts and posted repeatedly over and over into both the blog promotion forum and the off topic forum. Remarkably, none (not a single one of them) actually knew how to craft an effective promotion. It was a situation with follow me and I’ll follow you crap being posted and even worse crap. I became so sick and tired of Staff having to delete their crappy spam that I was DELIGHTED when both of those forums got the axe. Now that opportunistic stuff is taking place in the Community Pool on the Staff blog at https://dailypost.wordpress.com/2015/03/02/community-pool-104/http://thedailypost.wordpress.com
