WordPress automatically making image BIGGER?

Hi

https://foundfootagehorrormovies.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/09/found-footage-horror-movie-challenge-3.webp

I have that image as my featured image on my post – https://foundfootagehorrormovies.com/2024/09/22/found-footage-horror-movie-watch-challenge/

The file size is 61kb uploaded and shows that in the media uploader, but on the actual post it is 191kb.

Why? And how do I fix? I don’t seem to have this issue on any other images.

Also, I am using the recent posts block on the sidebar, how do I get them to show THUMBNAILS with a smaller size and not the FULL image, please?

To change the size of the source images to “thumbnails”, you can change the settings under the Block -> Settings -> Resolutions .
