Woo commerce Cart Plugin – not working on mobile view
-
Hello,
I’m using the Penscratch2 theme along with Woocommerce and the Woocommerce Cart Tab plugin.
The plugin works fine until the site is viewed on mobile and no shopping cart tab is visible.
Does anybody know a solution? Any help would be greatly appreicated.
Thanks!

Hi there! I see the “Shop” menu item on an iPhone 6: https://cloudup.com/cB3mp-mj9zq
Are you referring to something different? Would it be possible to upload a screenshot of what you’re setting?
Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/You can upload the screenshot – in a graphic format like JPG, PNG, or GIF – in your Media Library, and provide a link so I can see it, or upload it with a service like Cloudup, Imgur or Snaggy.
Could you also let me know your:
- Device type
- Operating system
- Browser
Thanks!

Ah – just noticed in your other thread (and in the post title here) that you said you’re running the Woocommerce Cart Tab plugin. I don’t actually see a cart icon anywhere on your site, even on desktop. Did you deactivate the plugin?

Hello Kathryn,
The cart appears on the desktop and tablet format when an item is added to the cart. A small shopping bag icon pops-up.
However, on the phone there no such feature, which means people accessing the website can’t view their shopping cart and checkout very easily (unless they add another item to their basket).

Note on the desktop screenshot the small black bag in the top-right.
I’m using a Macbook Pro, using Safari.

Ah, thanks for clarifying that the cart icon is only present after you add something to the cart.
It looks like the plugin intentionally hides the cart icon on screens smaller than 768px wide, as I see this CSS in its stylesheet:
@media screen and (max-width: 768px) { .woocommerce-cart-tab-container { display: none; } }I’m not sure why the plugin developer did that – perhaps the plugin does not work as expected on mobile screens for other reasons? You might want to try asking in their support forum: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce-cart-tab
If you want to try to override that with CSS, try adding this in your Customizer’s Additional CSS panel:
@media screen and (max-width: 768px) { .woocommerce-cart-tab-container { display: block; } }Be sure to test the cart icon at different screen sizes to make sure it’s still working.
Let me know how it goes.
