Will theme function the same on wordpress.com and wordpress.org?

    Hi, I’m using a wordpress.com site to test out possible themes for a non-profit I work with. I found a theme I like, but the actual site is on wordpress.org. I’m wondering if any of the functionality in the theme will disappear when I use it in the .org environment or do theme on .com and .org function exactly the same? i.e. testimonials, nav re-sizing on scroll, etc.

    Hi there,

    The two versions of Karuna are slightly different, but they will end up looking the same.

    When using the .org version, you’ll need to install the Jetpack plugin if you want to use the social icons menu, testimonials, and content options.

    Full setup instructions for the .org version, including details on Jetpack, can be found in the theme’s readme.txt file.
