Why has the wp-admin/index.php?page=stats page been removed?

I look at the wp-admin/index.php?page=stats page all day everyday and it has just gone missing. It was there half an hour ago, but now when I try to refresh it I get this:
The page requested does not exist

The Dashboard page is nowhere near as useful, helpful or attractive. Please put the wp-admin/index.php?page=stats page back!

The Classic Stats page disappeared for my blog, too. I received the same message.
Is it coming back?

They could at the very least give people some warning, instead of slapping us in the face with something we don’t want!

My other wp-admin pages are still working. Will they be “disappeared,” too, in the near future.

I also noticed mine gone, with the same error message, despite having installed a redirect script to retain access to the far superior classic stats page.

WP has no interest in what it’s users like or want. They’ve alienated thousands of people by introducing Gutenberg, which is inaccessible to most ordinary users. Gutenberg requires that people have a sound knowledge of DTP programs like InDesign or QuarkXPress, whereas the original WP was available to anyone who could use a basic word processor program like Word. I would mind less if Gutenberg was user friendly, intuitive and dynamic, but in reality it’s unintelligible, incomprehensible and clunky. Not fit for purpose!

Hi all, this is an issue that has been reported by other site owners as well, so our developers are investigating. For the time being you may need to use https://wordpress.com/stats/ as a workaround temporarily. We’ll update this thread as soon as we know more. Thanks!

Thanks for the update. https://wordpress.com/stats/ has always been a dreadful alternative and much worse than the Dashboard!

Happy to hear they’re investigating but will be happier to see WP Admin Stats pages again.

My wordpress.com stats pages stopped working on October 20, 2023. Who can fix this for me? My site is lifeafterministry.com I’m a small ministry but rely on the stats page too, Thanks for any help! Michelle
