What happened to my theme? I can not post anything!

Every time there has been a change to my theme, I could always figure out how to work around it and continue to post until today. Everything is so different today from where it was yesterday. I can add the title but I can not add the regular text. I also can not find the button to post anything. The categories and tags are fine. All of this happening before the big holiday weekend is a problem.

Your theme is a very old retired them and the recommendation is to switch to a much newer one as themes are retired when they no longer support all wordpress.COM features.

Note that switching themes https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/#switch-themes can be easily done, provided you are logged in as Admin under the same username account that registered the site. Themes are just “skins” on WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account
If you do not have the required access and someone else registered the site you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it and have them act.
The theme customizer https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/ provides a preview function for exactly that purpose ie. so you can view what a theme will appear like prior to changing one.
