wat are VIP BLOGS??
-
i can’t understand clearly that what’s a VIP blog??
please tell me in simple words and how to make a blog a VIP blog?? -
The VIP program is for blogs that get huge numbers of hits per day and it gives them additional abilities such as using ads, plugins and custom themes and such. Generally a blog would have to get 500k hits per month and it costs about $600 to set it up and then $600 per month.

The VIP program is designed for very busy sites with huge amounts of hits and bandwidth requirements such as techcrunch, CNN, icanhascheezburger, etc. It was NEVER designed with normal bloggers in mind. For sites such as the ones mentioned, it ends up requiring far less capital expenditure and all the technical end of things is taken care of for them.

i am confused between blogger and wordpress.com…..
help me which one to choose….in reality,i can use any blogging platform which has a forum feature for blogs -
WordPress does not have a forum feature. You would have to host a forum elsewhere and then link to it from the wordpress.COM blog.
As far as I know, blogger does not have a forum feature either.

well..thanx…but which one you prefer??—blogger or wordpress.com
@thesacredpath
u have a blog only on wordpress.com??means no revenue? -
With a self-hosted wordpress blog, you can do anything you want including having a forum integrated into it, but you will have the monthly costs of web hosting and the costs of the domain registration. Also, if it becomes popular, then your monthly fees may rise considerably. I know a couple people that started out paying $60 per year, but due to bandwidth requirements now that their blogs are popular, they are up there around $360 per year. The next step for them will be dedicated managed servers and that is big bucks – over $100 per month minimum.
