Want to edit date and time of last post

Last night I published a blog I had been working on for a couple of days.
However when I published it I could not find it as a recent post in my reader. I eventually found it after a load of other posts by bloggers I follow. The post is dated over 2 days ago. So this will not appear at the top in other followers’ readers. How do I change the published date to to the actual published date. How do I stop this happening again? What am I not doing?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The posts will always list the time they were started, not the time they were finished, as their time. You can edit it and change the date and time on the right-hand side of the Edit page.
