Using custom domain without delegating zone

Is it possible to use wordpress.com with a custom domain without having to delegate my domain or a subdomain to wordpress.com’s nameservers? I run my own nameservers and I need to continue doing so, I only want my web site to run on wordpress.com.

In order to map your domain here, the nameserver must be changed.

I already read that and that’s why I’m asking the question. Is it possible to use a custom domain name at wordpress.com by pointing the hostname to the right IPs but not by switching nameservers (that is, delegating a zone)?

We don’t have static IPs at WordPress.com, so that unfortunately won’t work.

We can only support mapping by pointing your nameservers here.
