URL/Domain issues

We had a domain (fncpokertour.com) point to our wordpress site (fishchipspokertourseason7.wordpress.com) that we use to manage a poker league. We wanted a new look for the new season, so we created fishchipspokertourseason8.wordpress.com.
We want our URL to point to fishchipspokertourseason8.wordpress.com, but we are unable to map it to the new site because it says its already mapped (presumably to fishchipspokertourseason7.wordpress.com).
I’m wondering what we can do to get fncpokertour to point to the Season 8 site and clear it from pointing to the Season 7 site. Any advice?

Exactly which wordpress.COM username account registered that site and purchased any upgrades for it?

Hi @wejrocej, can you log in with the username used to bought the domain? Then go to https://wordpress.com/help/contact and we’ll be able to help you get it on the correct account.

My co-conspirator is the one who purchased the URL and originally linked it. Unfortunately, he’s gone for the holiday weekend already.
When he returns next week, I’ll have him log in and make whatever changes are necessary.
