Uploading a theme from zip file

Hi! I found a theme I really like on the internet. I downloaded it as a zip file and extracted all the files in a folder where I am keeping all my blog stuff. I can’t seem to figure out how to upload this theme into my wordpress to use it. I assumed there would be a easy method to upload themes, but cannot seem to find it in my dashboard.

It is not possible to upload custom themes to WordPress.com because they could generate security issues, but you can use any theme available here: https://theme.wordpress.com/
You can upload a theme only if you’re using the self-hosted WordPress version, available at WordPress.org.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are different platforms.
