Unable to migrate site due to login issues
-
I am trying to move my website from Blue Host to Go Daddy. In Go Daddy, when I enter my WordPress login credentials to migrate the site to Go Daddy, I get the message that the username or password is wrong. I know they are not wrong because I am able to use the same credentials to log into WordPress. Changing the WordPress password hasn’t helped. I still get the same issue. Go Daddy have tried to help but they say I need to contact WordPress. I can’t find any other way to speak to someone at WordPress. Meanwhile, my website cannot be moved to my new host. Would be grateful for your help.

Hi there!
I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost and connected to your WordPress.com account via Jetpack.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ or reach out directly to Bluehost.
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
