Unable to add new photos to old galleries

    Yes, Jennifer, thanks for all your effort on this.

    It’s clear that we’re not really talking about the same issues – the solutions you suggest, other than recreating the Gallery – aren’t applicable to what I’m talking about. I guess that’s one of the problems with forums! It’s hard to know what other folks are actually trying to say. (i.e. the unattached old gallery images – they’re working just fine as “unattached” images. The gallery show up just fine. But because they’re not attached to anything, there’s no way to duplicate that attachment link with a new image. Or the “uneditable” image viewer – I don’t want to edit images, I just want to add them! Does any of that make sense?)

    Thanks anyways, I’ll just keep messing around with it and see what I can figure out.

    @ijnrblog- I understood that you wanted to add new images to an old slideshow where the only thing that appears in the Editor is the [slideshow] shortcode. I’ve given you a method to do that. Sorry if I misunderstood your intent.

    @rootjosh-Thanks! With all the changes over the years it’s sometimes hard to keep up, but the Gallery feature is my pet project (at least since July 2008). :)
