Trying to pay the ($13.00) for expired site?

    I’m so sorry, I may have misunderstood your question – after thinking about it for a few minutes it sounds like you may want to purchase (or renew) the domain “fatherhoodconnection.org” and map it to your current WordPress.com site: changinglivesformen.wordpress.com. Is that correct?

    If this is the case, you can add the domain to your current WordPress.com site. Adding a domain to your site requires a paid WordPress.com plan. You can find information about different plans here:

    Each paid plan comes with one domain credit, but you can purchase additional domains for $13.00 each ($13.00 per domain, per year).

    There are 3 different ways to add your domain. You can register a domain through WordPress.com and connect it automatically. You can map an existing domain that you already own, or map a subdomain to your existing site. Information about these steps can be found here:

    Hi there,

    The domain fatherhoodconnection.org is available for registration. Since the mapping of your previous domain (thefatherhoodconnection.com) expired you now need to purchase one of our plans in order to register the new domain.

    Go to http://wordpress.com/domains/add , choose your site, type the new domain and proceed with the registration process.

    does it cost $99.00 for entire year?
    I thought I was renewing for $13.00, could explain how this works?

    Hello @thefatherhoodconnection,

    Because the old domain has expired, it’s not possible to just renew that one for the previous $13.00 anymore. But you can still add a domain by upgrading to any paid WordPress.com plan.

    Any of the paid plans come with one domain credit (and you can add additional domains if you want to for $13.00 each, per domain, per year).

    To have access to adding a domain, you can choose the Personal, Premium or Business Plans. (The Personal is the least expensive plan at $4/month – billed yearly, so $48/year).
