Truly Minimal Theme – how to make the side margins smaller?
-
Hey, I’m a complete CSS newbie but I do have the setting. Just wondering how to make the blank white spaces on the side margins on my blog very small.
I want to pull the sidebar completely to the right and extend my main content bit to the rest of the area, if that makes sense. I also want the header to span over the entire top without too much white space by the side.
Drew a little picture to show you what I mean incase I am not making sense – http://i.imgur.com/yRgD9tA.png

The theme you are using, Truly Minimal, is a responsive width theme, which means it adjusts to the width of the window/device it is being viewed on, so what you see as white space to the left and right at one browser window width will virtually not be there on narrower displays or browser windows. You can see this if you go to your site and narrow down your browser window and watch what happens as you do.
Add the following CSS and see what you think.
.site { width: 95%; }

Oh that CSS definitely did help. Thank you so much, really appreciate it!
One thing though, the title part of my blog post gets a bit too far left. Is there any way the title part of my blog post could be centred at all?

Give this a try and see if it is what you want.
article .entry-title, .entry-meta { text-align: center; }

Sorry, very quickly, hate to be so annoying. I managed to work out the code to centre my widget area. Could you please tell me the code to centre my menu right below my header, please? Thank you!
