The "home" button on the headerr?
-
What is it for? I went into the “about” header button and realized what it was looking for, but when I did the same for the “home’ button, it just told me that ther was no information there. What am I supposed to use it for? thx.

I figured out how to use it or get rid of it…. if you don’t do anything you have to use it always….
if you don’t want it go into menus under Appearances and in the menu type what you want to name your menu… make it relevant to your site… then when you save the menu you have a choice of blank or using the name you just created….. the blank is the home button with your pages….. if you choose what you just named as a menu you have to drag your pages which will magically appear in the menu’s menu page to your menu and now your home button has disappeared

The “Home” button allows a visitor to click it form any page they are in in your blog and return to the front page of the blog.The About tab is to a page whereon you place your Bio and your Blog Description. When visitors click it they then know who you are, what the purpose of the blog is and what to expect to find published in the blog.
Why About Pages are Essential > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/04/06/why-about-pages-are-essential/I strongly encourage you to use the tutorial Staff have provided and work through all of these things step by step. The Learn WordPress.com tutorial is divided into progressive levels and presented as a series: http://learn.wordpress.com/

We are not allowed to use CSS editing to hide the theme designer attribution links in the footer or the link to WordPress.com. Please restore the links so we Volunteers don’t have to report this to Staff. -

I haven’t used css to edit or hide anything that I know of … could you be specific as to what you are referring to? -

I just twigged to the fact that the site linked to your WordPress.com username is not a WordPress.com blog. Will you please link your WordPress.COM username to your WordPress.com blog? It’s very easy to do. Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes. -
@timethief
got it … thanks for pointing that out… didn’t realize that when i filled it out… had the intention of my website having more attention and didn’t know it would interfere with wordpress rules.. -
