The Google Maps API server rejected your request
-
Hej! I have included google maps in my wordpress blog post. I edit and view it using chrome, where it works fine. However, one of my friends just told me that if you visit it using http in Safari it does not work. (It seems the problem is there for Firefox also).
The Google Maps API server rejected your request. Requests to this API must be over SSL. Load the API with “https://” instead of “http://”.
The thing is, I have linked to them using https like this (redacted the long string to make it more readable here):
[googlemaps https://www.google.com/maps/embed?LONG_STRING_HERE_REMOVED&w=600&h=450 allowfullscreen]
Here is the webpage in question:
http://photo.johanneshjorth.se/no-woman-is-an-island/One quick workaround might be to force https on all webpages on the blog, but I wonder if there is a better fix. Also curious that safari and firefox is affected but not Chrome.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there!
It looks like your website is a self-hosted WordPress.org. These forums are for sites hosted on WordPress.com.
For information on the differences between the two, check this support page here:For WordPress.org support, you can visit:

They should be able to help you from there :)
Hope this helps!

Thanks, I assumed it was the same underlying code base. So that this issue would affect both .org and .com users.

In case anyone else has the same problem, I re-posted the question on the wordpress.org support website:
