    I want to terminate automatic billing. The lack of direct customer support is appalling.

    I want WP to remove ALL automatic billing from my account. I want to terminate any relationship. I want everything WP has about me deleted from the system.

    The blog I need help with is louploup2.wordpress.com.

    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

    Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

    Thanks for trying, timethief. However, the service I’m being billed for does not show up under my “regular” WP account. It was for services on a page for a one time political organizing effort, set up at least two years ago. I have no idea how to access that account. It is an automatic billing for services from then and not a recent “upgrade.”

    I just think it’s outrageous how poor the customer service for WP is. Especially for billing like this. To have email notice of automatic billing show up without a hint as to how to cancel or change is just bad business. Now I know why WP gets so many terrible reviews.

    Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products too likes Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to a the registered email address for each username account so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you.

    Thanks. I went there and since I have no upgrades, it set up an email. I sent request to cancel to that address. We’ll see…

    I still find it incredible that there is no easy way to access account set up to see what automatic payments are set up, from what account/source, etc.

    This experience (among others not on this topic) does not make me inclined to use WP for a web page ever again.
