Team v Followers?

I’m a little confused on the differences between “Team” and “Followers” for my blog members.

I currently have over 6500 members in my “Team” but only 5 members in my “Followers” and 16 in my “Email Followers”.

I have my discussion settings set for new members to go into the Subscribers group. But I don’t know whether it is correct that the vast majority of my members are in the Team group or whether they should be in the Followers group.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Hi there,

Since your blog, blog.techygeekshome.info is not hosted with us (WordPress.com) I can’t access your dashboard. Can you please let me know what role do those members have on your Team?

Everyone on your Team tab has different editing abilities on your blog, where anyone on the Followers tabs can only subscribe to view your blog.

No its a self hosted blog. They are all in the subscribers group – so would this mean that they get an email when a new post is added?
