Switching wordpress.com to wordpress.org Details

So a quick few questions:
1. In terms of money, what other purchases are necessary to switch to wordpress.org. I am currently paying the $17/year for my .com
2. Is exporting and importing all of my links, pages, logo, etc. difficult by myself? (Relatively speaking, I have no tech skills. However I noticed the export import function on my Dashboard).
3. What other hairy details are there I may get caught up in?
