.swf file onto a widget or post

    I am a Harry Potter fan and really want the countdown on my blog. The problem is that it is a .swf file (I don’t know what that is as I haven’t seen one before) I can’t upload it as a picture. I wonder if I can do it through code but don’t know how.

    The code looks like this: <table border=”0″ cellspacing=”0″ cellpadding=”0″> <tr><td><embed src=”http://www.mugglenet.com/countdown/cd-dh.swf ” width=”200″ height=”100″></embed></td><td><embed src=”http://www.mugglenet.com/countdown/cd-ootp.swf” width=”200″ height=”100″></embed></td></tr> </table>

    Anyone have any ideas if there is a way to use it on the blog?

    You can’t embed that code at all. As covered in the FAQ, most embeds are stripped out of wordpress.com blogs for security reasons. You can find alternatives if you do a search of this forum for “Ticker” or “countdown” but none of them will work exactly the same.
