Suspicious follows

Great news and helpful info, Kokkieh. Thanks!
Have your people looked into the “1and1and1.zuromin.pl” address that I mentioned earlier? I only got 2 or 3 email followers from there, and none since the deluge from “pjbals.co.pl”, but it would be worth checking out.
Thx

@sirrahc, I also received an email follower from 1and1and1.zuromin.pl before the deluge of pjbals.co.pl. It was the precursor to the others.
@kokkieh, thanks for the link and info on how to remove referring links as spam. It was very helpful. I do believe the links related to “fix website problems” are related to the pjbals.co.pl “followers” and they bring absolutely no traffic of any worth to a quilting blog. And, they are certainly trying to reflect poorly on WordPress and their tools to keeps us safe and secure. I guess that’s typical for unscrupulous types. Thanks again!

Thanks everyone at WordPress for the quick action on this one. I was stymied as to how my self help blog suddenly became ultra popular in Poland. :-)

Forgive my ignorance, but I can’t figure out how to delete this subscribers manually–can anyone point me in the right direction? I have the Jetpack plugin installed for WordPress. Thanks in advance!

I’ve reported the 1and1and1.zuromin.pl domain as well, though I can’t guarantee they’ll be blocked. But our spam experts will investigate and take action if needed.
@hbgarbo
Go to My Sites, click Switch Site and select your Jetpack site. Click on People and click the Email Followers tab. You should be able to remove them from there. -

Thank you. I clicked on People and clicked the Email Followers. I was able to remove them all, except this one:
(email visible only to moderators and staff) -
-
I see I could neither copy that address, so I’m writing it in letters:
one-two-eight-eight-four-ziada-@-pjbals-dot-co-dot-pl
(email visible only to moderators and staff) -
Sorry for the trouble! that address magically disappeared from my list just now. Thanks so much for your work.

@kokkiek, I’ve followed all of the suggestions you’ve given us regarding the spam followers and the spam referrers.
I’m finding the spam referrer links still show up on my referrer lists. Seems no matter how many times I click the flag as spam, there they are again. I’ve even added that link to my “blacklist”.
It’s becoming exhausting.
The good news I can report so far now more spam follower.

@bamasteelmagnolia
If spamming the referrer links don’t work, please try clearing your browser cache and cookies.Otherwise, if you can post the links here I can see if I can spam them from my end. Also please indicate for which of your sites this is as you have more than one site.
