Stop Email Notifications of New Posts

    Hi there,
    Is there any way I can stop my WP from sending out email notifications to the subscribers each time a new post is published? I cannot ask the subscribers to click unsubscribe at the bottom of the email so please suggest something else. I also tried posting a blog post as ‘private’ and no email notification was sent but when I changed it back to ‘public’ a notification was sent. Is there any way I can remove the subscribers myself or stop WP from sending email notifications. Please help!
