Sticky Page
-
I had the option of a choosing a sticky page, a page that was first on my list of pages, which I would change out monthly. In December, that ‘sticky page’ option was removed, and I’m stuck with an out of date blog post from November on my front page. Help!

You can make the post sticky by following the steps in this video: https://cloudup.com/cky2HIeJFnN
Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

I’m having the same problem where I am stuck with an out of date sticky page. I like the theme I have. How can I remove it?

Only Posts, not Pages https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/ can be designated as sticky. See: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
You can remove the sticky designation from any post by editing it.
The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:
http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/* You will have to replace “name_of_blog” with your actual blog’s name in that URL.
http://homeandhearthmagazine.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
On the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Postshttp://homeandhearthmagazine.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php
Open the All Posts page and click Sticky at the top.
Hover over any post title there and click the Edit link and proceed with editing. Click Update in the Publish module when you are done.
