Spammers leaving likes on my commnts on and off my blog

Hi, I’m being plaugued by spammers. I moderate all comments, so just trash those in comment form, but now I’m having them leave ‘likes’ again and again, both on my own blog, and when I comment elsewhere. This is a copy and paste from today;

They do it in bulk, second after second then move on. It’s going to be playing havoc with people’s stats, and it means people can see the spammers address on my blog as well in the comments section. Every spam address is slightly different, but you can see how similar they are too, and there’s no account to click through to another blog.
Any advice, and is this something WP is working on? Many thanks, Esme.

Hi there, the spammers changed tactics, which resulted in a good number of spam likes on people’s posts and comments. Our team have made adjustments to our systems to block these, and are continuing to monitor the situation and make refinements.
