Spam

    Lately after I write a blog post and tag it in order to get readers, I have spam followers following my blog based on what was tagged. I don’t want “readers” who are only there to spam their “GET RICH BLOGGING” garbage. I want to have stats of actual READERS, so I know what is popular and if my blog is actually being followed by those who want to follow. Quite frankly I have a feeling I will be changing blogging platforms because there is absolutely no way to filter these spam readers on this site. Does anyone know any solutions that could help me out?

    Yes. Go to their blogs and report them as Spam using the drop-down menu in the grey Admin bar. Be sure to explain why you are reporting them. If you see any ToS violations on their blogs, mention those as well. Then staff will remove them from the stats, possibly delete or suspend the blog, and certainly prevent them from following more people.

    The only problem is that once I click their name it brings me straight to their gravatar profile. Clicking on their blogs, it brings me to an entirely different site that they have linked so I’m not even able to report them.
