Spam?

    I receive an e-mail every day or two saying I have a new follower for my blog. The email addresses are always kind of strange and ALWAYS outlook.com
    It just seems phishy. How can I tell if these followers are valid?

    Look to see if they are actually still subscribed. There have been problems with this off and on since March and WP has been working to clean them out. Usually they’ve been automatically deleted as a follower by the time you can even look.

    Even if they don’t get removed by the automated system, it doesn’t seem to do any harm.
